Would you believe me if I told you former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore, spouts them off the top of his head as he’s playing guitar at night?
Probably not, right…
But it’s true. Al Gore rhythms play a huge role in Zestimates!
OK, OK, it’s not Al Gore rhythms…it’s algorithms. Horrible joke, I know. You were right not to believe me.
But you also shouldn’t believe a Zillow Zestimate either! Those are as off as my joke was!
Algorithms sound super technical, because they are. But that doesn’t mean they’re accurate. And they’re not. Zillow even says so in their disclaimers.
So, if we use the Zestimate as a basis for coming in with a low offer, there’s a good chance the seller and their agent are going to think your offer is a joke, and that probably won’t get you any laughs—OR the house.
